Boat Hire

  

                                                                            BOAT TARIFF 2017-18

Boats must be booked in advance. .

£5 per person for day hire.

Anglers MUST have a valid Season Permit.

No more than 2 people at a time on boat.

BOAT HIRE CAN BE CANCELLED AT SHORT NOTICE IF WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE DEEMED UNSUITABLE. THAT DECISION WILL BE FINAL.

 

                                                         LOCH ASCOG BOAT RULES 2017-18

1- Fishing hours are from dawn till dusk. STRICTLY NO fishing afloat after 10pm during summer months. NO later than      4pm in winter months.  NO UNDER 16's permitted on boats unless accompanied by an Adult member.


2- Life-jackets MUST be worn at ALL TIMES and MUST be self-inflating or of the rigid variety. FAILURE TO WEAR A LIFE JACKET WILL RESULT IN A BAN FROM USING BOATS.


3- Keys and lifejackets for boats to be collected from MacQueens the Butchers. Contact Club Secretary on 07734263591 to arrange return of keys and lifejackets.  


4- Maximum 3 day hire.


5- STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL TO BE CONSUMED BEFORE OR DURING HIRE TIME OF BOAT.


6- Any legal method from boat.


7- Recommended Maximum Lure size of 6" with a maximum of 2 barbless/crushed barb treble hooks.

 

8- Electric engines permitted. STRICTLY NO PETROL ENGINES.


9- Boat Anglers MUST give way to bank anglers and keep the agreed distance of approximately 100 metres.


10- There are several rocky,shallow areas on the loch which should be avoided whilst afloat.If beaching boats please do so carefully and not in rocky areas. NO STANDING UP WHILST BOAT IS IN PASSAGE.


11- No standing on sides of boat.


12- Anglers MUST use a landing net and unhooking mat on the boat.


13- Boats MUST be left clean and tidy and any rubbish REMOVED and DISPOSED of in BINS provided. Boats must be secured properly in Boathouse,using ALL fasteners and making sure that front gates are locked. Oars and rowlocks to be stored inside boat.

 
14- ANY FAULTS OR DAMAGES TO BOAT,BOAT EQUIPMENT OR OAR LOCKER MUST BE REPORTED TO ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE IMMEDIATELY.

       **Anglers using the boat do so at their own risk. The Association will not be responsible for any losses or damages incurred whilst using the boat**
