Season 2017-18


Loch Ascog the Dhu Lochs & Loch Greenan


 Anglers MUST ensure all gear that comes into contact with water is thoroughly dried between fishing sessions


1 .Strictly no more than 3 rods for bait fishing for Pike using no more than 10 mtr bank space.

2 .Catch & release policy, ALL fish to be returned alive . STRICTLY NO LIVEBAITING.

3 .When fishing from the bank please keep a reasonable distance and show consideration to other anglers already set up  and fishing.

4 .If fishing afloat do not encroach the vicinity of bankside anglers.

5 .If planning over night fishing please notify the Secretary beforehand.

6 .Strictly NO fires of any type. Lighting of fires will result in removal of membership of Association.

7 .Please take ALL litter home or place in bins provided.

8 .Memberships must be carried at all times.

 

***STRICTLY NO VEHICLES TO BE DRIVEN TO LOCHSIDE ON LOCH ASCOG OR GREENAN LOCH***


PIKE FISHING .....Strictly no fresh deadbaits from other waters. Deadbaits from other waters must be frozen for at least 24hrs before fishing.

1 .Do not commence fishing without forceps, strong wire snippers and a suitable sized net.

2 .Only 3 rods are allowed when bait fishing for pike.

3 .Rods must be placed on rod rests with suitable bite indication with drop back indication. Rods must not be left unattended.

4 .Use a minimum of 15lb mono or 50lb braid line.

5 .Wire traces must be used at all times with sensible semi-barbless hooks. Size 8s or 6s are recommended.

6 .Pike must be unhooked on a unhooking mat or in landing net on soft grass.

7 .Pike must be weighed in a suitable weigh sling.

8 .Pike must be returned to the loch without delay and not retained unnecessarily.

9 .Memberships must be carried at all times.

 


LOCH GREENAN FISHING........Carp/Tench/Roach

1 .Strictly no more than 2 rods.

2 .Catch & release policy, all fish to be returned to the Loch.

3 .Use a minimum of 15lb mono or 50lb braid line for Carp.

4 .Size 8 and smaller hooks should be used.

5 .Carp/Tench must be unhooked on a unhooking mat or in landing net on soft grass.

7 .Carp/Tench must be weighed in a suitable weigh sling.

8 .Memberships must be carried at all times.


Guest tickets can be arranged on request. 1 paying guest per member,per day. Guest day ticket £10. Member is ultimately responsible for guest and must accompany guest at all times.

OFF ISLAND MEMBERS MUST NOTIFY SECRETARY, IN ADVANCE, OF THEIR INTENTION TO FISH. THIS GREATLY ASSISTS THE POLICING OF OUR WATERS.
